I had privileged to talk to him via email. Twice.
1. During Ph.D. and Post-Doctorate, I had send him email and hard copy letter too on 25th July 2002. It was based on "Indigenisation" and told him that in case we don't act quickly on indiginisation, we'll not have even bullets for some foreign made guns and may be we'll lose our independence on technologies issue/ front due to patents and copy rights, etc. He liked the concept of my Ph.D. and he thought it's very much relevant.Our heartfelt thanks to H. E. the then President of India, Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam, replied, "All the best for Ph.D." 2. When I came back from Canada, in 2005, I was searching for job. I contacted him and told that I'm interested to work for in the domain, where it requires most.
